The New Orleans Historic French Quarter Easter Parade was the first in the morning, followed by the Chris Owens French Quarter Easter Parade, which began about 1 pm. The Gay Easter Parade was only one of three parades held on Sunday in the French Quarter of the city known internationally for its carnivals. The event was held to raise money for Southeastern Louisiana’s No/AIDS Task Force – a community based service organization that supports men, women and families affected by HIV/AIDS across the region. The parade began at Armstrong Park and traveled through the city’s French Quarter, past the St. Join Central Florida for a day of love The annual Come Out With Pride Festival presented by The Glass Knife takes place as an in person event at Lake Eola Park on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Participants dressed up for the event, wearing tuxedos, summer suits and dresses with Easter hats. Saturday, OctoLake Eola Park PRIDE FESTIVAL 12:00-9:30 p.m. Expect garish floats, colourful costumes, a nonstop party vibe in the French Quarter and yes, drunken chaos on Bourbon Street at night. The parade featured entries transported by 29 carriages, wagons and trolleys and 10 vehicles including limousines and featured marching bands and seven marching groups. Festivities will be taking place over two weeks.
Hundreds took part in the 16th annual New Orleans Gay Easter Parade on Sunday – one of the largest pride events to take place each year in the state of Louisiana.
